Owncoin cannot take your keys

Wallet data stays on the device. These are the storage rules already stated in the app.

1. The transaction password is not uploaded

   It confirms transactions on this device. Owncoin does not store it, and nobody can reset it for you. If you forget it, import again with the mnemonic.

2. Keep the mnemonic offline

   Do not save it in email, notes, cloud drives, or chat. Once it leaves your control, the assets cannot be recovered.

3. Do not send a private key over a network

   Do not transmit a raw private key with a network tool. If you must move it to another device, scan it in person, offline, with nobody and no camera nearby.

4. Do not keep a copy of the private-key QR

   Do not save, screenshot, or photograph that QR code. Scan it only in a safe place, and only to import the wallet.

5. Custom networks and DApps are separate

   Owncoin cannot verify a node you add. Actions inside a third-party DApp follow that app’s terms, and that app is solely responsible.
